I'm constantly amazed by the variety of photo work I get to shoot. From ad campaigns to major events, there is always something interesting on the horizon. One of my favorite recent shoots was the Sergio Martinez vs. Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. fight last weekend. I had ringside photo credentials for the sold out event, and it was an intense experience. Aside from ringing ears from the deafening roar of the crowd and blood splatter on my arms, I also came home with a ton of great photos. Here are a few of my favorites:
We had an amazing sunset lightning storm today in Vegas. Fortunately, it was an admin day so I was home to catch it!!
This web-sized image is a drastically reduced and JPG compressed taste of the 36MP long exposure crispness that I'm able to enjoy on the big monitor at home. I'm not typically in the business of selling prints, but this one deserves to be printed! I'm thinking about running off a limited edition at 36" on pearl. Anybody interested?
I just posted a few photos from Forgotten City III, Las Vegas’ official Burning Man Regional. I only spent a couple hours out with the camera, but got quite a few interesting images. Click here for the full gallery on my FB Fan page.
Verbicide published an online gallery of my photos from the Turbo Fruits show on Tuesday. You can see it here.
If you look to the bottom right corner, you’ll see a gathering for the First Vegas Burn. The fire wasn’t that big, there was very little smoke and there were a few obstacles in the way. I’ll be trying more of this in the future when I find more suitable subjects.
I just uploaded a special gallery of photos to my facebook fan page, featuring photos from my DSLR on a trip to Thailand in January. Its was mostly 2 weeks of family business but I managed at least a day of sight-seeing, so there’s at least a few interesting tropical photos to tease that winter travel bug:
TruTV just published a collection of photos I shot for Langley Productions’ Las Vegas Jailhouse. There are 12 ambient shots in the gallery here: http://www.trutv.com/shows/las_vegas_jailhouse/jailhouse_shooting_gallery.html. You can find a few more of the officer portraits (mixed in with the video captures) throughout the rest of the site: http://www.trutv.com/shows/las_vegas_jailhouse/index.html
I was upset to find that a lot of the more interesting ones I shot with the inmates and aren’t online; Even though we got proper model releases, I’m guessing they just left them out due to the potential legal ramifications. Now I need to find out what they did with all of the exterior panoramas…
