I was hired to shoot the Monster Jam Finals for the second time this year. It was back in March, but my ears are still ringing… gotta remember to bring earplugs next year.
About a month before the Olympic Games, I shot an exhibition match with the USA All Star Team vs. Puerto Rico.
The recent soccer game of Real Madrid vs. Santos Laguna was a lot of fun to shoot. In addition to the regular excitement of having field credentials, I was hit by a soccer ball twice throughout the game! I only managed to catch one on camera before protecting it from the incoming projectile:
I'm constantly amazed by the variety of photo work I get to shoot. From ad campaigns to major events, there is always something interesting on the horizon. One of my favorite recent shoots was the Sergio Martinez vs. Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. fight last weekend. I had ringside photo credentials for the sold out event, and it was an intense experience. Since they'll probably never be seen anywhere else, here are ad couple random behind-the-scenes shots from the World Football Challenge 2012 at Sam Boyd Stadium this month.
Another shot from the 2012 USA Sevens International Rugby Tournament at Sam Boyd Stadium. This is a quick 5-shot panorama of the stadium at dusk. Looks like an HDR, but was all single exposure…. magic hour love! =)
A quick behind-the-scenes photo from the press booth at Sam Boyd Stadium during USA Sevens 2012.
Simple shot, but I love how it shows how many global regions were covering the event.
